
Thomas is an impact investment professional with a background in Management Engineering and a Master’s degree from Politecnico di Milano, where he specialized in Sustainability and Social Impact.
He currently serves as a Portfolio Analyst at Opes, one of Italy’s pioneering impact investing organizations. Opes operates as a family of impact investing vehicles, including a foundation in Italy, a UK trust investing in East Africa, and an impact venture capital fund in Italy, supporting enterprises that generate measurable social and environmental outcomes.
Thomas is also involved in the setup of a new European impact fund focused on the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI), exploring how creativity and culture can drive measurable social change. The setup of the fund is promoted by Opes, the Moleskine Foundation, and the DOEN Foundation.
Beyond his core professional activities, Thomas annually contributes to the Social Enterprise OpenCamp (SEOC), an international four-day training event on social entrepreneurship and impact investing, where he coordinates operations and data management processes.
Before joining Opes, he was a Research Assistant at Tiresia—Politecnico di Milano’s Research Center for Impact Finance, where he explored the role of Artificial Intelligence in ESG ratings.
He holds professional certifications from the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School (Venture Finance Programme) and from the CFA Society Italy (ESG Analysis and Investing), underscoring his commitment to responsible and sustainable finance.
